But did you know that they’re also much more environmentally friendly as well?
Most internal walls aren’t meant to last forever, particularly within a growing business. Needs often seem to change with each success and struggle, and every so-often, the office layout will need to change to keep up with them.
Moving a traditional wall involves the demolition of the old and reconstruction of the new. All drywall used in the initial construction is ripped out and thrown away, and most of the lumber is also rendered unusable and discarded. In an office setting, wall demolition produces 1lb of waste for every square foot of wall removed—or, to put it into perspective, a tiny 6’x10′ office with an 8′ ceiling would produce over 250 lbs of waste, whereas a demountable wall system can simply be taken down and reused, producing no waste whatsoever.

As long as they aren’t damaged, Demountable Wall Systems are completely reusable. If you want to move a wall, we’ll simply take it down, move the track, and put the very same wall up again.
This zero-waste system not only produces far less waste than traditional drywall construction, but it’s also far less expensive. It saves not only the cost of raw materials with every new construction, but also the manpower required to tear down an old wall, remove the waste, bring in new materials, construct the frame, lay the drywall, and paint the office. Not to mention the fact that bypassing these steps will significantly reduce the disruption caused within the office, letting your employees get back to work much sooner.
No longer need your demountable wall panels? If they haven’t sustained any major damage, they can be taken down and re-sold. Are they damaged or otherwise rendered unable to re-sell? Most demountable wall system components are made of glass and metals that are completely recyclable.
